My name is Wyvetra, I have been working in the area of mental and behavioral health counseling for over 15 years. As a busy mom and wife I often times struggled with finding balance between life and work. I wanted to be an attentive mom and wife but at times felt that I was failing at both. I wasn't thriving in any area of my life and was just simply existing.
Throughout my career, I have helped people achieve their desired goals when even I had given up on mine. This ultimately resulted in emotion and mental burnout. One night, I was lying in a fetal position on the floor of my closet crying and not wanting to leave that spot. I could hear my husband and children's conversations in the next room but their voices sounded much farther away. It was in the stillness of silence that I felt God's presence and was reminded that my best days were still ahead. So, I got up and pushed forward one day and some times one hour at a time. I discovered mindfulness and how your thoughts can attract the things that you want. I read the New Testament of the Bible because I wanted to redefine my relationship with God from fear to a place of deeper understanding.
Afterwards, I began to journal in order to clear mental clutter. In doing so, it created an opportunity to be reintroduced to my love for writing and reading. I found time daily to write even if it was only 5-15 minutes and read before bed. Through written expressions of gratitude I found less to complain about. By following my passion I am now discovering my why.
" For such a time as this" Esther 4:14.
God made you just the way that you are for a reason. And just what if your time is now to step out on faith and into your purpose. A life of fulfillment on the other side of fear.
